Photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings document what happened
at a particular time.
Photos can be old
family photos, photos of prominent historical figures, sports figures,
architecture, landscapes, or a particularly good line of Boston Terriers.
Depending on what topic you are researching, they can be photos of anything.
Video can also be used
as a primary source. Video of an event, interviews, and documentaries are
all useful and quite palpable methods of conveying information.
Additionally, audio recordings of events, such as 911 calls
and interviews
are useful primary sources.
