AbstractWater is essential for citrus trees because it is an integral component of the biochemical reactions that occur within the plant, and also because it is the carrier that moves plant nutrients and other substances throughout the tree. This publication examines irrigating citrus trees. Topics include; water stress, estimating tree water use, timing water applications, dealing with salty water, calculating how much water is applied, as well as application methods and mulches. And it also includes a table which can be applied to spreadsheets, to calculate the exact amount of water a citrus tree needs.
