AbstractAs a result of the application of irrigation water containing soluble salts, a salt load is continually added to the soil. Soil salts have to be removed on an ongoing basis through maintenance leaching to prevent yield losses from a salinity buildup. This publication provides factors to consider for determining the leaching requirement for crops.
