The implementation of the δ₀₊ᵣ model in a finite element program is discussed. The idea of considering damage as a structural performance helps to avoid singularity. Strategies in drift correction is considered. The generalized time finite element method (GTFEM) is also discussed and implemented. It shows improved accuracy and stability with highly non-linear material properties.Type
