dc.description.abstractDuring 1971 and 1972 an experiment was conducted at University of Arizona Experimental Farm at Marana to determine the effect of a biochemical soil additive on water infiltration, soil moisture, and seed cotton yield. The additive was added to irrigation water delivered to treated plots and not added to the water for untreated plots. Infiltration measurements were made in connection with basin irrigation of the test plots. Soil moisture status was determined by means of the electrical resistance block method. Cotton was picked by a single row picker and weighed. Analyses of variance were utilized to evaluate treatment effects. No significant treatment effects upon infiltration, soil moisture, and seed cotton yield were found.
