In this paper we present an implementation of a low density parity check (LDPC) decoder in the functional programming language Haskell. We describe the LDPC code in a very general sense and show how it is used in our implementation. We then discuss the advantages of using a functional programming language like Haskell to model this decoder, as well as the implications of doing so. Finally, we evaluate our model in terms of algorithm accuracy.Sponsors
