dc.description.abstractThis new transistor will make it possible to achieve signal to noise ratio improvements of up to 15 dB (six times more link distance) for systems where the antenna looks sky ward. Using this type of low noise pHEMT device for on the horizon links insures that the telemetry link will be limited only by the natural thermal radio back ground noise and not by the receivers noise.
