A system to obtain and record impact data at accelerations of 3000 g’s has been designed around a 1024 word, 12 bits per word, piggyback twistor memory. Memory construction and potting techniques were developed to minimize the effect of large acceleration forces. The memory and system tests prove that the memory can withstand shock signatures beyond its original design requirements.Sponsors
