Two retrodirective antenna systems that autonomously point high gain beams to a signal source without requiring a priori knowledge of location are described. The first is a stationary phased array requiring no phase shifters or switches for its operation. The second is a steerable platform with a thinned receive array for signal acquisition and platform pointing and dish(es) to satisfy the high gain function.Sponsors
