A generalized real-time telemetry processing system model is developed in four blocks: Demod/Synchronization, Data Channel, Processing/Control and Display. Flexibility objectives are stated for each block and illustrated with respect to the Navy's existing Real-time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS). Features and tradeoffs are discussed for each block along with references to the growing and significant body of such systems already existing and currently under development.Sponsors
