This paper presents the results of the instrumentation used on a firing test for making inbore measurements of projectile acceleration and base pressure. The system components; including the telemetry data link, acceleration and pressure sensors; and the packaging techniques are described. The data from a test of six 105mm proof projectiles fired in an M-68 tank gun are presented and compared with independent measurements.Sponsors
