The UA Campus Repository is experiencing systematic automated, high-volume traffic (bots). Temporary mitigation measures to address bot traffic have been put in place; however, this has resulted in restrictions on searching WITHIN collections or using sidebar filters WITHIN collections. You can still Browse by Title/Author/Year WITHIN collections. Also, you can still search at the top level of the repository (use the search box at the top of every page) and apply filters from that search level. Export of search results has also been restricted at this time. Please contact us at any time for assistance - email repository@u.library.arizona.edu.

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 14-16, 1975 / Sheraton Inn, Silver Spring, Marylanden_US
As the volume of aerial photographic data increases in various applications, there is increasing demand for automated data analysis. Faster and larger computer alone is not the solution. In this paper effective and computationally efficient techniques for computer processing of the aerial photographic data are presented. They include: (1) picture data compression, (2) feature exttraction using the histograms of the original and sharpened pictures, (3) sequential target and classification, (4) threshold selection, and (5) Walsh power spectrum analysis. All of these techniques may be incorporated in a fully automated data analysis system to meet certain real-time on-line system requirement.
