dc.description.abstractThis study explored the frequency and nature of verbal and physical assault directed toward nurses, by patients, their family members, and visitors in a southwest emergency department. To be eligible for participation in this study, a registered nurse must have been employed in this emergency department for at least one year prior to completing the survey.
