Millimeter wave systems have had a 20 year development period starting with the pursuit of radio astronomy in the 1950’s to the mm-wave satcoms of the 1980’s. This paper traces the developments of both mm-wave technology and satcom systems to both the present NASA ACTS system and the developing military mm-wave satcoms.Sponsors
