A hardware Compressor examines measurement data prior to computer entry, discards redundant or otherwise uninteresting words, and passes the appropriate information with tags to a computer. Continuous rates of 100,000 to 1,000,000 words per second are accepted. Under some conditions, 95% to 98% of the data can be discarded while passing every measurement which is of value in real-time analysis.Sponsors
