The data collected in this paper, both primary and secondary, shows us a lot about the success wearables have had and what their future looks like. Results showed that the main reason users comply with their wearable is that they can explicitly see their progress throughout the day. They value being able to see the number of steps and miles increasing at the tip of their fingertips. The majority of users have had a positive experience with their wearable and like to see themselves accomplishing a goal everyday. After using their wearables, users significantly increased their physical activity per week and saw a positive difference in their lives. Wearables are having a significantly positive impact on users as many have increased their level of activity, and are motivated to be more active on a daily basis. Fitbit by and large is the industry leader in fitness bands.Type
