This paper will attempt to present algorithms commonly used for video compression, and their effectiveness in aerospace applications where size, weight, and power are of prime importance. These techniques will include samples of one-, two-, and three-dimensional algorithms. Implementation of these algorithms into usable hardware is also explored but limited to monochrome video only.Sponsors
