This paper will address various applications and methods used for the acquisition, recording, and telemetering of data from the MIL-STD-1553 avionic multiplexer data bus installations in aircraft, missiles, and other vehicles. Discussions of the problems encountered and hardware utilized in current applications are reviewed. The innovative techniques used to optimize system performance, and future trends for program requirements are also discussed.Sponsors
