Most test ranges are required to process both telemetry and Time Space Position Information (TSPI) data in real time. Using the Integrated Flight Data Processing System (IFDAPS) at Edwards AFB as an example, this paper identifies some of the basic differences between telemetry and TSPI data processing and discusses methods of integrating the two types of processing. Included for consideration in the integrated processing are data acquisition, measurement displays, recording, derived measurement computations using both types of data, and post flight merging of telemetry and TSPI data. Data processing is discussed in a concurrent, multiple operation environment using separate, integrated processors.Sponsors
