AbstractThe Arizona Autonomous Vehicles Club is participating in the 2016 AUVSI Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition which offers various challenges to be completed by a fully autonomous aerial vehicle. To complete various mission objectives, a low cost, rotary-wing platform was developed and deployed. The vehicle was assembled and upgraded for autonomous capability using commercially available components and open sourced software.
