A current project for the City of Tucson is the Broadway Boulevard Expansion Project. This is a complete redesign of Broadway Boulevard from Euclid to Country Club. The senior design project is a smaller scale version of this real-life design project up to the 30% plans submittal. First semester each team was tasked with "winning" the project by compiling a Design Summary Report and Statement of Qualifications. These first submittals encompassed the area between Euclid and Campbell. Second semester focused more on the actual design, including Drainage, Traffic, Structural, Landscape, and Pavement design reports as well as a set of design plans and a cost estimate. Because of the more intensive designs these submittals were only from Highland to Warren.Type
