CitationWright, P.L., Trapp, R.A., Reynolds, S.J., Richard, S.M. and Peirce, H.W., 1985, Theses and Dissertations on Arizona Geology 1891-1978. Arizona Geological Survey Open File Report, OFR-85-10, 146 p.
DescriptionThis report contains a comprehensive list of theses and dissertations, completed between 1891 and 1978, on Arizona geology and related subjects, such as hydrology. The compilation includes a main list of theses and dissertations, alphabetized by author, and two supplementary indexes. Index A is a statewide subject index, which lists the author, date, and physiographicgeologic province or provinces encompassed by each thesis and dissertation. This index will enable the user to assess which theses cover a specific subject and to narrow the search to one or more physiographic provinces (Colorado Plateau, Transition Zone, or Basin and Range). Additional discrimination by area is provided in Index B, which lists the author and date of each thesis by province, county, and specific area (e.g., San Francisco volcanic field, Sunset Crater). All province designations use the province boundaries defined by Peirce (1984; see also Figure 1).
