    Description
asbestos, and a recent Act of Congress has made it possible to locate, lease, and mine the asbestos heretofore unavailable, but long known on Arizona Indian Reservations. These facts have lately drawn the attention of many people to the mineral, and the Arizona Bureau of Mines has received a great many inquiries concerning the physical characteristics of, the market for, and the situation of known Arizona deposits of asbestos. This bulletin has been prepared in the hope that it will give the information sought much more satisfactorily than can be done in letters. No attempt has been made exhaustively to cover the subjects presented, and it is admitted that the information contained herein is largely a compilation rather than a contribution to the known facts about asbestos. For more complete data relative to the various matters covered by this bulletin, the reader is referred to the publications listed in the selected bibliography herein given. 31 p.
