dc.descriptionA committee of the Arizona section of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) has completed a review of the activities of the Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) relative to the agency's mission. The AZGS and its predecessor agencies have been recording and interpreting Arizona geology for over 108 years. During this period, the Survey has produced hundreds of reports and maps documenting the geological framework of the state for use by geologists, ecologists, other scientists, engineers, developers, recreationists, environmentalists, regulators and legislators, and members of the general public.
