The goal of this GEOST project is to design and 3D print a CubeSat that is capable of taking a picture from space. The project is to achieve a full scale, CubeSat mock-up, built with as many of the real components as can be acquired or fabricated during the project period. The CubeSat should have a self-sustaining power system (solar cells and battery), thermal control (radiator panels), an attitude control system (ACS), a communication system, and an imager to take pictures. The imager should be able to capture, store and transmit images. The CubeSat computer will utilize a ground radio and star-tracking system within the ACS to receive positioning and image capture commands.Type
