    Description
The story of the Helvetia-Rosemont Mining District is one of meeting challenges to provide a better life through persistence and hard work. The pre-World War II history of the district highlights the miners and their families, the early mining communities where they lived, and mining ventures that developed and produced copper from the district’s early mines. Post-World War II mining activities involve operations at the Santa Rita marble quarry and efforts to develop the Rosemont copper deposit.
