The measured runoff from a contour-ripped rangeland watershed is compared with hypothetical runoff based on KINEROS model simulations assuming that the watershed had not been treated. The results indicate that such models as KINEROS can provide a valuable additional tool for evaluation of range treatments and could possibly be used “before the fact” to determine probable water-yield impacts of a rangeland treatment.Type
