dc.description.abstractThe sensitive rangelands of the Southwest are a delicately balanced arrangement of thin soils, sparse vegetation, and limited precipitation. Grazing must be carefully regulated in order to protect the delicate ecosystem. Steep slopes and rugged terrain require special consideration.
