Condition and trend of the big sagebrush/needleandthread habitat-type was studied at 23 sites in northern and eastern Nevada. An inference approach was used to quantify range trend in one field season. The habitat-type was located and described in excellent, good, fair, and poor condition. Trend relationships show that needleandthread is a decreaser, while big sagebrush, squirreltail and green rabbitbrush are increasers. Quantitative guidelines are developed for each condition class.Type
