Silvex at 0.5 lb./acre applied in diesel oil, diesel oil:water emulsion, water, or water plus surfactant controlled sand shinnery oak in the Rolling Plains of Texas. Decreasing the silvex rate from 0.5 lb./acre progressively decreased sand shinnery oak control. Addition of 0.25 or 0.5 lb./acre ammonium thiocyanate did not enhance the effectiveness of 0.5 lb./acre silvex on sand shinnery oak.Type
