Timber milkvetch, Astragalus miser var. oblongifolius, was treated with esters of 2,4,5-T and silvex at 2 lb./acre. The concentration of miserotoxin, the poison contained in the plant, decreased rapidly after treatment. After 4 weeks, treated plants contained only one-third as much miserotoxin as the controls.Type
