Optimum temperatures for germination of fourwing saltbush (Atriplex canescens) were from 55 to 75 F. Germination was delayed and slower at temperatures less than 55 F. These results suggest that optimum temperatures for germination are likely to occur during cooler periods of the year in the Southwest, periods which may or may not coincide with optimum soil moisture.Type
