African cattle production and marketing in Zambia is far below its favorable potential. Stubborn cultural impediments are slowly being overcome. The process involves two basic steps: (1) stimulating the economic wants of the cattle-owning people to the point where these wants become compelling; (2) improving production and marketing practices to the point that sales prices of cattle prove satisfying to the potential seller.Type
