Intermediate wheatgrass and smooth brome were seeded at 2 depths and 3 seasons for 3 years to determine the best season and depth for seeding mountain ranges. Emergence was best from seeding in September, October, and June, in that order. Seeding at the 0.5- and 1-inch depths gave similar results. Low emergence and high mortality of all treatments indicate the need for additional information on seeding harsh sites on mountain ranges.Type
