dc.description.abstract | Agricultural pests cause tremendous losses and they must be controlled. Pesticides are essential but in using them adequate safeguards and operational procedures are necessary to protect against possible adverse effects on man, animals, plants, fish, wildlife, and other values in man's environment. Interim and expanded research is underway to curb the side effects of pesticides. Several new research approaches are being followed in attempts to control a wide range of pests. | |
