Detailed radiocarbon chronologies from three volcanic crater lakes (maars) in southeast Australia are examined in relationship to the magnetic mineral stratigraphies within lakes, and the magnetic secular variation stratigraphy between lakes. Some implications for magnetic dating are considered.Type
