The following is a Design Concept Report performed in response to the award of a hypothetical roadway improvement package along Grant Road between Mountain Avenue and Country Club Road. Proposed improvements include widening the cross section from four lanes to six lanes, installing new bike lanes and sidewalks, improvements to the existing drainage network, and the installation of a new pedestrian bridge across Grant Road at Country Club Road. This project is intended to achieve sustainability certification at the Gold Level under the Envision framework, and include the preparation of a preliminary Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Complete response includes recommendations from each of the following disciplines: project manager, traffic analysis, roadway design, hydrology, geotechnical, structural, environmental, and construction. Finally, the Design Concept Report is intended to simulate 35% construction plans, and does not reflect a level of detail comparable to final, stamped construction documents.Type
