According to JCGM 100:2008, Evaluation of measurement data - Guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement, “When reporting the result of a measurement of a physical quantity, it is obligatory that some quantitative indication of the quality of the result be given so that those who use it can assess its reliability. Without such an indication, measurement results cannot be compared, either among themselves or with reference values”. As a measurement device the Sistema de Trajetografia Ótico (SisTrO - Optical Tracking System), computes 3-D store trajectory in real time using photogrammetric techniques. The estimation of 3-D trajectory uncertainty can’t be achieved by either Type A or B procedures, as recommended by JCGM 100-2008. So, IPEV, using physics basics and advanced system identification tools developed an experimental process for the estimation of SisTrO’s 3-D solution uncertainty. The developed process and laboratory experimental results used for validation is presented.Type
