The Application of AOFDM for Power Efficiency

Abstract

This paper presents the test results of an Adaptive Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (AOFDM) modulation system for the improvement of Power Efficiency on the radio link. This work develops a framework that includes Power Efficiency and Spectrum Efficiency bounds, and combines this with Spectrum Usage and Delay constraints on the radio link. It further develops a strategy for improving the Power Efficiency subject to constraints on delay and radio link Signal to Noise ratio (SNR) conditions.
