    Description
This geologic map covers the Kaiser Spring volcanic field and lower Burro Creek area. The bedrock geology consists of Proterozoic igneous and metamorphic rocks, locally intruded by late Cretaceous to early Paleogene (“Laramide”) rhyolite dikes, which are more abundant outside of the map area. The Miocene Kaiser Spring volcanic field consists a diverse bimodal assemblage of lava flows, pyroclastic rocks, and tuffaceous rocks. The Basin East sedimentary lithium deposit is located in lacustrine deposits near the south banks of Burro Creek between Suicide Wash and Laurel Spring Wash. The Burro low-sulfidation epithermal gold-silver deposit occurs on the western edge of the Kaiser Spring volcanic field near the confluence of Burro Creek and Kaiser Spring.
