Prototype MIL-STD-1553 Network Design for Cyber Testbed Using Microcontrollers

Abstract

This paper presents a strategy, design, and progress in Morgan’s Networked Telemetry Cyber Testbed development. This effort will create a virtual networked environment which emulates real telemetry networks, traffic, vulnerabilities, and attacks. Emphasis in this work will be the emulation of physical layer networks such as the MIL-STD-1553 data bus structure using Arduino microcontroller boards.
