This study illuminates the profound impact of cultural exchange on Chinese violin music through the analysis of two works: the Avshalomov Violin Concerto and the Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto. Comprising five chapters, this document introduces Chinese musical aesthetics, provides general information about the connection between Aaron Avshalomov and China, delves into the background of the Butterfly Lovers’ Violin Concerto, and offers an in-depth aesthetic analysis of both compositions. Through this examination, the objective is to unravel the methods in which composers from diverse cultural backgrounds seamlessly melded Chinese musical traditions with Western musical structures.
