The goal of this project is to produce a score and performance parts of William Schuman’s Prayer in Time of War in transcription for wind ensemble. Relevant information on the composer, the composition, and the transcription process is included. Concertino voicings, applied to produce sonorities and textures evocative of the original orchestral scoring, are documented throughout.Type
