Speleonycta anachoretes, n. sp., is described and differentiated from S. ozarkensis, known from caves in the Ozark Plateau. The new species was collected from Kartchner Caverns State Park in Arizona. Morphology and preliminary analyses using 16S rRNA corroborate that Speleonycta may be related to Texoreddellia, another nicoletiid genus from caves of Texas and northern Mexico. General information regarding its conservation status within the commercial cave is provided.Note
