This dissertation aims to analyze the trumpet music of the Baroque era according tothe musical-rhetorical theory of the period. I will examine the social context in which both the trumpet compositions and the publication of the treatises on musical-rhetorical relationships could flourish. I will then introduce musical-rhetorical theories and provide an analysis of trumpet music.Type
