This document, compiled by Dr. John C. Palumbo of the University of Arizona’s Department of Entomology, presents insect trap monitoring data from an areawide network in desert vegetable production areas. Funded by the Arizona Iceberg Lettuce Research Council, the network tracks the seasonal movement and activity of key insect pests including corn earworm, beet armyworm, cabbage looper, whiteflies, aphids, thrips, and leafminers. Data, collected weekly from 16 strategically placed trap locations, is summarized in this report with year-over-year comparisons and regional breakdowns. This information supports pest management decision-making by alerting PCAs and growers to heightened pest activity in specific areas, promoting proactive field scouting and timely intervention.Additional Links
