Abstract

Apache County, in the northeastern corner of Arizona, is part of the Four Corners region, where the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado meet. As of 2018, the population was approximately 72,000, with nearly three-quarters of the population residing in rural areas. Population centers in the county include Chinle, Fort Defiance, and EagarSpringerville. Top industries in Apache County include government, education and health services, and trade, transportation and utility industries.
