    Abstract
The purpose of this thesis project is to research how yoga impacts mental disorders like anxiety and depression in college students. This will be done through a literary analysis explaining the history of yoga, the current statistics regarding the mental health of college students in the U.S., and any significant findings relating to the connection between yoga and the mental health of this population. Through this I will also break down how different mental health disorders manifest, their course of treatment, and how the movements in yoga benefit or harm them. After the literary analysis is complete, there will be a pamphlet created that is in a diction that is simple enough for the average person, to understand why yoga is beneficial to their mental health. This pamphlet will additionally include examples of movements that they could do at home and serve to educate and benefit the community.
