The Diamond Joe intrusive complex is a composite, concentrically zoned intrusion consisting of three main phases that are compositionally similar but texturally distinct. From the outer zone to the inner zone, igneous rock textures gradually transition from an equigranular, medium- to coarse-grained granodiorite to an inequigranular coarse-grained porphyritic quartz monzonite and quartz monzonite porphyry. Volumetrically minor fine-grained quartz monzonite porphyry plugs, and various types of dikes also occur crosscutting the main intrusive phases (Gerla, 1983; Thompson et al., 2023; Chappell, 2025). This , 1:24,000-scale geologic map combines detailed observations of rock types with detailed observations of alteration assemblages and vein types to produce an alteration map of the area (Figure 7 of the report).en_US
